Roster & Members¶
What it does¶
The Roster is the league's list of players, and every player has a member page behind it. The roster shows everyone in the league at a glance — name, handicap, role, and balance — and tapping a player opens their full profile: their golf history for the season and their wallet of fees and fines. It's where organisers add players, keep details up to date, and see who owes what.
How it works¶
- Open the Roster from your league. Organisers also reach it from the Admin Console's Manage section.
- Scan the list. Each row shows a player's name and handicap, and — if you're allowed to see balances — what they owe or are owed.
- Tap a member to open their detail page. It's headed by an identity card with their photo, handicap, role, member number, home club, and a season summary: balance, season points, rank, and rounds played.
- Golf History tab. A summary of the member's season — rounds played, average Stableford, best Stableford, best net, and a league-points trend — followed by every round they've played, each with its finishing position, date, format, league points, and gross and net scores. Tap a round to open its summary.
- Wallet & Fines tab. The member's running balance, broken down as opening plus deposits minus outgoings, followed by their full transaction history.
- Manage the roster (organisers). Add a member, edit their details, mark them active or inactive, or remove them.
Key details¶
- Roles show on the card. Each member carries a role — organiser (commissioner), finance manager, or ordinary member — shown as a badge on their identity card.
- Balances are gated. Balances are visible to the league's organisers and finance manager, and to ordinary members only when the league has chosen to make balances visible to everyone.
- Contact details stay private. A member's email and any other contact information are visible only to the member themselves and the league's admins — never to other players.
- Active or inactive. Organisers can mark a member inactive without removing them; a status dot on the card shows their state at a glance.
- Removing a member settles up first. If a member who still owes money or holds credit is removed, the app settles their balance to zero before removing them. Removal can't be undone.
- Member or non-member. A player with a member number shows as "Member #N"; one without shows as "Non-Member", so guests and regulars read differently on the roster.
Technical notes¶
Built with Flutter/Dart. The roster, member profiles, and their transactions are stored in Firestore, with Firebase Auth and role checks controlling who can see balances and who can edit the roster. A member's season summary and golf history are consistent with the figures shown elsewhere in the app.
